First Miss Cooper called the roll. The whiteboard people stood up and wrote some rules on the whiteboard. Then we went outside and Miss Cooper told us our groups: Group A, group B, group C, group D, or group E. I was in group A.
Next we did tipi building. Freya's grandma and 2 other adults helped us. We got split into 3 groups. In my group I had Hannah, Livi and Rebecca. Freya's grandma told us to find 3 bamboo sticks and a piece of string. She helped us tie a knot around the top of the bamboo sticks. We stood the tipi up with the help of Ruby's mum, the group leader. We chucked the tarpoline over it. There was enough time to play in our tipi. I watched the other group scream while they rode on the cart they made.
Then we did archery. The man teaching us archery split us into 2 groups. He taught us how to load the arrows and how to shoot. Then the two people at the front of the lines picked the bows up from the stands, clipped the arrows on, aimed and shot. Everyone had thier go. Next we had the competition. The first boys stood forward and shot three arrows each. Favion, the man who taught us archery, recorded the scores. The next 2 people stepped forward got the bows and shot. We got through everyone else very quickly. Favion announced the scores and my team won!!!
After that we went back to the field and started building a flintstones car. First the man taught us how to do a carpenters hitch. He tested us and then taught us the glove hitch. Then we started putting the cart together; carpenters hitch, lashing and lastly, glove hitch. Next we got into groups of 3. There were 4 groups. Group 1 got on and rode to the other side. They got off, then my group got on, and so on. We each got 2 goes. We took the cart apart and played on the playground.
Next was problem solving. Roman's mum Abbie and Jacob's mum helped. First up minefield. I tried first but I only managed to get one circle. Once we hade finished that, we moved onto a game where you each have 1 pipe and you had to get a golf ball from one side to the other without letting it touch the ground. That was hard. After that we did a huge puzzle. One group had yellow and one group had blue. We had to hide the pieces and find the other colour. My team won again. The next game was where one person put one plank on a dot and connected it to another dot. You only had three planks and you had to get everyone to the other side just by walking on the planks. Last but not least was the shrinking island. We had a piece of tarpaulin. You had to fold it and keep everyone on it.
Lastly we went down to the gully and did Wilkie talkies. Tintin told us the rules and put us in pairs. We got to run around and have a little play with the Wilkie talkies. Then tintin called us back to base. Next we played hide and seek. That was fun. Lastly we played naughty and crosses. We gave the walkie talkies back.
That was the end of Wednesday.
